Beer Hunt

Here's a picture of the boys just before their hunt. I hid 100 beers in the backyard. The men were let lose to gather at 10pm with flashlights and headlamps to the Life Aquatic soundtrack...it was awesome! The neighbors must have thought we were crazy though. We turned off all the house lights and it looked like some odd alien take over in the backyard, all of those little lights darting here and there to strange music. And now, it is raining and time for bed. I love it when it rains during bedtime, I'm not the best sleeper...

It doesn't feel like January!

Today we held softball tryouts at the high school where I work (and am also an assistant softball coach). It was fun. The girls are great and we only have room for improvement with a last year record of 22 losses and 2 wins :o) We cut two girls, which I feel bad about but, I am kind of a push over and the two girls happen to fall into my part of the alphabet so I'm their guidance counselor. Anyway...the whole point of mentioning this is that it was HOT outside. January in Florida. Where is that 20-30 degree weather we had last week?!? Supposedly it will be here again this weekend. For now I'll just reminisce about the backpacking trip some of my old college friends took around Thanksgiving...

Macro Challenge: New

I found this site yesterday and love using the macro (and SUPER macro) setting on my camera.

Here is some dew newly formed in a spider's web I spotted while walking a few weekends ago.

Photo Friday: Passage of Time

illustration friday: 100%

Neither of the pair was 100% about what they would find once they reached moss mountain...

So far so good...

We started back at work from winter break...at which I am a high school guidance counselor. I LOVE my job. However, I cut 13inches off of my hair to donate to Pantene Beautiful Lengths and some of my kids today were very angry about the change. It was kind of funny. My favorite question was, "Did you cut your hair?" When I answered "No" the kids just stared back confused.

In memory of the Gator's national championship and tonight's 07' national championship game, here is a picture of my husband hugging a life size Tim Tebow cutout after this year's Heisman winner announcement. He loves him as much as one man can love another man without wanting to be more than friends. He also loves the Gators that much. Don't judge him :o) and yes, he and his friends did make a life size cutout of Tim Tebow and a separate life size Heisman trophy simply in case he won so they could take pictures with Timmy-T.
